The results are in for our annual photography competition. We asked WCVA members to send in photos of their volunteers in action and here’s what they came up with.
In April 2013, we launched our first Members' Photography
Competition, asking our members to send us photographs of their
volunteers in action from the huge variety of different causes they
represent. In this, the fifth year of running the competition the
entries were as inspiring as ever!
And the winner is...
Ferndale Grassroots for this fantastic entry:
The image shows Nicola Wakeford and son Cooper age 5,
volunteering for the Ferndale Grassroots 'Clean Up Day', part of a
wider community project centred on the Ferndale and Blaenllechau
Established in 2015, Ferndale Grassroots, located in the Rhondda
Fach, is a voluntary constituted group which acts as a
catalyst for the development of community cohesion, raising
aspirations and encouraging people to maximise their social,
environmental and economical potential.
Ferndale Grassroots will be taking home the first prize;

In a very close battle for second place, RecRock claimed the
runner up prize of £25:
